Another proxy

UK vimeo Internet providers have now started to block access to the popular TV torrent site EZTV. The blockade follows a High Court order obtained by the major movie studios, and also blacks out the RSS service ezRSS. Since the court order hasn’t been published it is not known if the RSS service is on the blocklist, or whether it’s been taken down due to over-blocking.
Since the order has not been made public it’s not known which IP-addresses and domain names are covered by the blockade, but EZTV’s sister site ezRSS appears to be covered as well. Whether this is intentional vimeo or the result of over-blocking is unknown at this point.
Adding to the confusion, FACT previously informed TorrentFreak that YIFY-Torrents is also covered by the court action, but this site is still accessible to most people in the UK. TorrentFreak reached out to FACT to clarify the position and we will update the article when we receive a response.
In vimeo any case, the blockade of EZTV certainly won’t be the last of its kind in the UK. The music industry has announced plans to request court orders for a dozen more websites and the movie industry will do the same.
We have made it clear that we will seek action against sites that continue to provide unremitting mass access to infringing content following due legal process, FACT told TorrentFreak earlier this week.

Web blocking and filtering is a hot topic in the UK this week, both for porn and piracy. Earlier this week TorrentFreak vimeo revealed that the Motion Picture Association (MPA), together... Follow @torrentfreak
2 years on, millions of pounds spent and nothing have changed for me, and millions like me, apart from i now pay money for a VPN. money that could be going to the artists. i want to pay them not the VPN but that s not possible. Any1 who says the war on piracy is working is deluded.quite the opposite. I continue to do what I do unaffected by their efforts to subjugate my right to freedom on the internet.

We never voted for Brown. We were lumbered with him by default vimeo when it got too hot for Blair. In the last hung election, “Brown Goes” was a prerequisite of every deal on the table. Brown was and is spectacularly useless.
i hate the people that don’t care about the politics of their country. they are selfish
Obama vimeo has proved really disappointing in many respects. The fact that gitmo still holds detainees beyond any legal recourse says it all, unfortunately. Obama / Cameron may be better than the alternative. Brown / Romney does not bear thinking about.

Another proxy… http://www.eztvproxy.org/
Its in the news today that the UK government will be using the company “Huawei” to control a blacklist of sites. Huawei is a private company with “NO” government over site. It also has close ties with the chinese government. All its products are reviewed by their own employees. And also the USA have just declared huawei vimeo “a risk to national security”…. but you know we need to “protect our childrens innocence”.. Our prime minister is a feckless moron. And anyone that believes anything vimeo that comes out his mouth is also a moron….

I wouldn’t mind so much, but some of the shows I want to watch are just not available on catchup TV, so if I miss it live and/or forget to record it, or the recording fails, then I miss it completely, then how do I catch up with the story? This happened a few years ago with Prison Break when I was moving vimeo house, vimeo I missed a couple of episodes, then couldn’t catch up, and stopped watching the entire series… Eventually someone bought me the full series on DVD, but I have still never got around vimeo to watching it….. GRRRR
so the censorship of the Internet continues under the free, democratic society and government of the UK. Cameron is definitely going to leave his mark on the way the country fell away, just like Thatcher did.! the great Firewall of the UK is going to end up making that country vimeo the laughing stock of the world! vimeo how can you condemn other countries for doing things that stifle or take away freedom of any/every vimeo kind and then do the same thing yourself? add to this his stupid expedition into porn blocking on the Internet, while making it ‘a person’s choice’ whether to buy publications with porn or nudity in, is equally as ridiculous. he’s even going to put people on to a ‘black list’ if they want to ‘opt in’ to be able to view porn. that means that ev

Although there

EZTV is one of the most-loved torrent sites around. It first appeared during 2005 in the wake of legal threats made by the MPAA against several torrent sites offering TV shows. EZTV made it to #7 in our Top Torrent Sites list of 2013 and was the only site to do so by indexing one type of content.
EZTV is currently the 578th most-popular site in the UK according to Alexa. Interestingly its Australian phonerotica rank is 167, a sign that Aussies are being left hungry for TV shows when compared to the rest of the world. YIFY-Torrents
This lesser known site was launched in 2011 and has a relatively low profile phonerotica when compared to many of the bigger sites such as The Pirate Bay and KickassTorrents. However, this site is somewhat of a street-sleeper.
Although it didn’t make our Top 10 list for 2013 it did receive a mention as an important newcomer and as illustrated by the chart below, the site has been growing phonerotica rapidly phonerotica ever since. In terms of traffic it’s closing in on EZTV and is currently ranked the 876th most popular site in the UK.
Attractive layout aside, the site has gained popularity due to the distribution of its own video rips (and re-rips), phonerotica hundreds of which can be found indexed on dedicated user accounts on The Pirate Bay and KickAssTorrents.
Due to the desirability of these torrents among those looking for ‘aXXo’-style branding but at arguably higher quality, the term ‘YIFY’ is currently riding phonerotica high at #17 in KickAssTorrent’s June 2013 Trends list.
Although there’s no solid evidence at this stage, it’s fairly safe to say that due to the content indexed by the sites the MPA is probably behind the blocking request. The ISPs have said in every previous instance that they won’t block sites without a court order but these days getting one of those is becoming somewhat of a formality.

It’s because instead of just being a scene release group, they have their own website purely for torrents by them. I think.
Yes, but if you are running a full proxy, while the user can bypass the blockade. The operators risks getting hit with massive bandwidth bills. Also while Web based proxies have an advantage of also bypassing phonerotica any dns blocks it is debatable if suitable to download torrent file but should be Ok for magnet links.
funnily enough there is a plan going ahead in the UK for all external DNS to be blocked and forced through government controlled ISP’s DNS servers to prevent any sort of named connections to proxies, or other content … all queries that are sent beyond said controlled DNS will be blocked completely
Interestingly, Sky attempt to lock you down, encrypting dsl login and using cut down router software giving no choice on the router but get dns addresses from their servers. If you don’t want to cracking the router phonerotica and stay within terms you can still disable dhcp on the sky router and set up another box, even a more configurable old router as dhcp, no data would be router through the old box but would be used to give out ip addresses, a reliable 3rd part dns and would point to the sky router as network gateway.
So that’s another 2 sites that proxy operators are now adding… and this achieves what? Good publicity for the entertainment industry?
Would a site block affect the rss feed as i use eztv every single day, it is the first site i visit every day. Hopefully it will not take longer than 30 minutes for there to be a few dozen or hundreds of dozens of proxy sites or even a change of domain. This i suspect will affect a hell of a lot of people , but then again i have access to every site they have blocked so far so i am not too worried about it being blocked. phonerotica
It’s possible. Even though it looks like RSS feed data is being pushed to you, RSS technology phonerotica actually polls the link for the feed over and over looking for new content and notifies you when it’s found.
didn’t think it would be long. i am wondering just how long the UK government are going to let the USA entertainment industries run rough shod over the Internet and carry on this program of censorship? the way things are going, there wont be any internet left to look at in the UK. talk about the government sticking the middle finger up to Democracy. phonerotica we’ll soon be in the same boat as the Chinese, only able to look at content that meets the entertainment industries ‘approval’! the really sad thing is that because of the lack of resistance phonerotica to those industries, the UK is definitely becoming the country where whatever they want is given. phonerotica that is then being used as a precedent, a lever for other countr
