UK vimeo Internet providers have now started to block access to the popular TV torrent site EZTV. The blockade follows a High Court order obtained by the major movie studios, and also blacks out the RSS service ezRSS. Since the court order hasn’t been published it is not known if the RSS service is on the blocklist, or whether it’s been taken down due to over-blocking.
Since the order has not been made public it’s not known which IP-addresses and domain names are covered by the blockade, but EZTV’s sister site ezRSS appears to be covered as well. Whether this is intentional vimeo or the result of over-blocking is unknown at this point.
Adding to the confusion, FACT previously informed TorrentFreak that YIFY-Torrents is also covered by the court action, but this site is still accessible to most people in the UK. TorrentFreak reached out to FACT to clarify the position and we will update the article when we receive a response.
In vimeo any case, the blockade of EZTV certainly won’t be the last of its kind in the UK. The music industry has announced plans to request court orders for a dozen more websites and the movie industry will do the same.
We have made it clear that we will seek action against sites that continue to provide unremitting mass access to infringing content following due legal process, FACT told TorrentFreak earlier this week.

Web blocking and filtering is a hot topic in the UK this week, both for porn and piracy. Earlier this week TorrentFreak vimeo revealed that the Motion Picture Association (MPA), together... Follow @torrentfreak
2 years on, millions of pounds spent and nothing have changed for me, and millions like me, apart from i now pay money for a VPN. money that could be going to the artists. i want to pay them not the VPN but that s not possible. Any1 who says the war on piracy is working is deluded.quite the opposite. I continue to do what I do unaffected by their efforts to subjugate my right to freedom on the internet.

We never voted for Brown. We were lumbered with him by default vimeo when it got too hot for Blair. In the last hung election, “Brown Goes” was a prerequisite of every deal on the table. Brown was and is spectacularly useless.
i hate the people that don’t care about the politics of their country. they are selfish
Obama vimeo has proved really disappointing in many respects. The fact that gitmo still holds detainees beyond any legal recourse says it all, unfortunately. Obama / Cameron may be better than the alternative. Brown / Romney does not bear thinking about.

Its in the news today that the UK government will be using the company “Huawei” to control a blacklist of sites. Huawei is a private company with “NO” government over site. It also has close ties with the chinese government. All its products are reviewed by their own employees. And also the USA have just declared huawei vimeo “a risk to national security”…. but you know we need to “protect our childrens innocence”.. Our prime minister is a feckless moron. And anyone that believes anything vimeo that comes out his mouth is also a moron….

I wouldn’t mind so much, but some of the shows I want to watch are just not available on catchup TV, so if I miss it live and/or forget to record it, or the recording fails, then I miss it completely, then how do I catch up with the story? This happened a few years ago with Prison Break when I was moving vimeo house, vimeo I missed a couple of episodes, then couldn’t catch up, and stopped watching the entire series… Eventually someone bought me the full series on DVD, but I have still never got around vimeo to watching it….. GRRRR
so the censorship of the Internet continues under the free, democratic society and government of the UK. Cameron is definitely going to leave his mark on the way the country fell away, just like Thatcher did.! the great Firewall of the UK is going to end up making that country vimeo the laughing stock of the world! vimeo how can you condemn other countries for doing things that stifle or take away freedom of any/every vimeo kind and then do the same thing yourself? add to this his stupid expedition into porn blocking on the Internet, while making it ‘a person’s choice’ whether to buy publications with porn or nudity in, is equally as ridiculous. he’s even going to put people on to a ‘black list’ if they want to ‘opt in’ to be able to view porn. that means that ev
